Xavier Galiana (b. 1981) has more than 15 years of international experience in photojournalism and photo editing. He has been documenting on social issues, religion and environmental issues in Europe and Asia working as freelance and with news agencies Reuters and Agence France Presse.
His photographs have been published by the New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, The Telegraph, National Geographic, El Pais, La Vanguardia among others. His work has also been exhibited in the festival DOCfield Barcelona.
In 2012, he gained a MA in Photojournalism & Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication (LCC). Currently, he pursues a BA in Multimedia at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) to continue exploring different visual mediums to document in the South Asia region, where he is currently based.
